Hey everybody! I've defnitely been blowing it lately. I've been getting more page views per month/day then ever and slacking on the updates. Last month hit almost 10,000 views. I definitely appreciate all you guys checking the site so often. We've been slacking on filming because we are obsessed with the new park. It's been open for a few weeks now but the grand opening ceremony is this Saturday, March 6th from 10am to 12 noon! Come out, it will be sick! there will be music, skateboarding, friends, food, good times, maybe even a couple best trick contests so you can win yourself some good courtesy of Bluetile. To get you all super pumped, here's a clip Jon Casey filmed and edited at the park. Oh yeah, issue 22 will be here someday.

Yo! Last night was the skate and create art show reception at the art museum downtown. it was a fun time, but if you missed it you should still go check out the exhibit. My boy Shively up in Charlotte's got a neat little site goin with some cool footage, you guys should check it out. Post22.com is putting up their issue 20 today i believe, i personally am very excited to see it. Jcase put together another plex edit which can be viewed here. Got some exciting news! This Monday, August 31, at 4:15 PM is the GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY for the new OWENS FIELD SKATEPARK! WHOO! Go out to owens field on Monday at around 4 or 4:15 to celebrate our new skatepark being built! DAMN!
Okay, now for some not-so-exciting news... my new camera malfunctioned and is off being fixed right now. I have no idea when I'll be able to pay for the repairs so who knows when there will be another update up here, but I'll do my best. For now here's some bullshit...

In the early 1950's, a man named Larry Reaves built a ramp in his backyard. For hundreds of thousands of years Larry had tons of ramp jams and parties and all sorts of get togethers that were filled with the shredding of this Columbia landmark. Now for a reason that will not be mentioned (he a daddy), he's selling the ramp. So the other day he had one final ramp jam. I didn't get to stay the whole time but i managed to film a few things while i was there, as well as demolish about 9 tacos. the premier for HATE YOUR FRIENDS was last night. It was a huge success, not to mention a lot of fun. Thanks to everyone who came out, supported the skate scene, bought copies of the video, etc. Copies are on sale now at Bluetile for 15 dollars, which is pretty cheap for an hour long skate video. If you missed the premier there are still two coming up so you still have a chance. Here's a clip of some TF footage before the premier and some people hangin out before the video played.

BLUETILE GAMES OF SKATE
well I'm sure all of you interweb nerds lurk the berrics as much as I do, so Bluetile is doing weekly games of SKATE. Every Tuesday in front of the shop, you're welcome to come but don't skate in front of the shop unless you're in the game because the cops will come if too many people are skating. Be there at 3:30. there will be two games, and then the winners of those games will face each other to determine who goes to the next round. Two Tuesdays have already been handled and the footage will slowly start showing up on youtube (i'm pretty busy). The first game is already up, however.
In other news: Hate Your Friends premier date has been pushed back, yet again. Doing it at the theater is no longer an option due to new management and being too expensive. The premier will be March 15th at New Brookland Tavern. Doors open at 6, $10 entry fee, videos will be on sale at the premier, and a few bands will play before and after the video. Who knows if they will be any good.
also: SK803.net may be changing to dwmedia.com or something of the sort. I plan on moving out of the area soon, and also maybe posting other video work than just skateboarding. but don't worry it will still mostly be skateboarding because that's all I do. Speaking of mostly skateboarding, mostly skateboarding is always posting the sickest videos on the internet. HOLLA

Back home, you may notice that Issue 5 does no longer exist thanks to the people at Shandon Baptist Church. Someone told them that me having footage of people skating the church influences people to go skate there, which they will not tolerate, therefore i will be sued if i don't get rid of all footage of the Shandon Baptist church fountain gap. Maybe I'll re-edit it without that footage if I have time.
